Sales and Services
Earlville Fields to Firesides
Bean stubble, cut corn and the steady roar of a dryer fan define early autumn around Earlville, way up in the northern corner of LaSalle County along US-34. Grain is the business here, and a system that keeps up with the combine makes all the difference. Midwest Agri-Com supplies in-bin drying, stirring machines, unload systems and elevator legs, then installs and maintains them so harvest keeps moving. Farm shops in the area buy and service welders through us too, along with filler rods, wire and plasma cutter supplies. When the wind starts whipping across the open prairie, families here turn to us for wood, pellet and corn stoves or a new fireplace. A drive south to our Ottawa showroom is worth it.
Our Service
Drying, Handling and Shop Solutions
Grain handling and drying equipment anchors our work with farms like those around Earlville. We size and install in-bin drying and stirring machines for growers who harvest wet, add elevator legs and unload systems to speed up the yard, and build bin stairs for safer access, then return for repair and upkeep. Our welding department sells and services machines while stocking welding wire, handles, fuel kits and plasma cutters for repairs that never seem to stop. Inside the farmhouse, a new fireplace with a masonry or cultured stone surround can change how a room feels on a January night. Stoves made from soapstone, steel or cast iron offer efficient heat for older homes that lose warmth quickly, with corn models letting you burn part of your own crop. Every project starts with a sales consultation and finishes with careful installation and inspection.

your questions answered
Find answers about our products and services.
How much aeration airflow does my grain bin need for safe storage?
Airflow needs depend on grain type, bin size, depth of grain and how you plan to use the fans. Cooling and maintaining stored grain needs less airflow than drying grain in the bin. Deeper grain creates more static pressure, which affects fan selection. Share your bin dimensions and storage goals and we can recommend a fan setup that fits.
Do welding gas cylinders need special storage in a farm shop?
In most cases, yes. Wood mantels, cultured stone and brick facings can refresh an existing fireplace as long as proper clearances to the firebox opening are maintained. The wall structure and existing surround determine how the new facing attaches. A consultation lets us check measurements, clearances and materials so the update looks good and stays safe.
Can I add a wood mantel or stone facing to my existing fireplace?
In most cases, yes. Wood mantels, cultured stone and brick facings can refresh an existing fireplace as long as proper clearances to the firebox opening are maintained. The wall structure and existing surround determine how the new facing attaches. A consultation lets us check measurements, clearances and materials so the update looks good and stays safe.
