Practical Equipment for El Paso

A plasma cutter that slices through half-inch plate without a fight can change how fast you finish repairs in an El Paso farm shop. Sitting at the crossroads of I-39 and US-24 in Woodford County, El Paso is surrounded by productive ground and busy grain traffic, especially at harvest. That puts welding equipment sales and service and grain handling and drying equipment near the top of most lists. Many local houses are older farm homes or established in-town properties that warm up nicely with a new pellet or wood stove or a refreshed fireplace before winter. Midwest Agri-Com covers all of it, from consumables and torches to complete drying systems and hearth installations. You get one experienced team instead of several separate vendors. It is an easy run north on I-39 toward our Ottawa showroom, where you can see equipment in person and request a free in-store estimate.

Our Service

Welding and Grain Know-How

Busy farm shops need dependable equipment and supplies, and that is where we often start with El Paso area customers. You can rely on us for cutting torches, plasma cutters, filler rods, electrodes, welding wire, handles and fuel kits, along with sales and service on the machines themselves. Grain customers get help planning in-bin drying, choosing stirring machines, adding bin stairs and upgrading unload systems or elevator legs, with design, construction and repair work all handled by our crew. For the home, we sell and install fireplaces featuring masonry, brick, cultured stone or wood mantels, and we offer stoves fueled by wood, gas, corn or pellets in steel, cast iron or soapstone. Fireplace tools and accessories complete the setup. Because so many local projects happen around harvest timing, we help you schedule work for the quieter months. Installation, inspection, maintenance and restoration keep everything running season after season.

Our Services and products

Reasons Customers Keep Returning

Ask around El Paso and you will hear that good equipment starts with good questions. Ours begin at a personalized expert consultation covering your acres, your crops, the fuel that heats your house and the metal you weld. From there, free in-store estimates give you an itemized look at a dryer setup, welder upgrade or stove install with no obligation. Competitive pricing on quality products keeps your dollars working on gear meant for many harvests and many January cold snaps. Midwest Agri-Com has been serving customers since 1975, and our experienced sales team and professional service follow each job through installation, inspection and later repair. Being family owned and operated, we answer to our customers rather than a distant head office. Woodford County farms and households get practical guidance and equipment chosen to hold up.

How do I figure out how much grain dryer capacity my farm needs?

Begin with how fast your combine fills carts, measured in bushels per hour, then factor in typical harvest moisture and the target you dry down to for storage. A dryer that falls behind leaves wet grain waiting in trucks and bins. Wet holding capacity, fan horsepower and fuel supply matter too. Bring your numbers and we will size it together.

Is a gas fireplace or a wood fireplace better during a winter power outage?

Flux-core wire carries its own shielding inside the wire, so drafts and open doors do not ruin the weld the way they can with gas-shielded MIG. Gas MIG gives cleaner welds with less spatter but needs calm air. Many machines run both, so you can switch wire based on where you are working.

Should I run flux-core or gas-shielded MIG in a drafty machine shed?
