Morris Grain Handling, Welding and Fireplace Experts
Your grain system, shop welder and home hearth all deserve service from a family company with nearly five decades in the region.
Sales and Services
Serving the Grundy County Seat
Your harvest window is short, so equipment that fails in October costs real money. Morris farmers, contractors and homeowners rely on our Ottawa-based crew for grain drying, welding supplies and hearth work, all a short drive west on I-80. As the Grundy County seat, Morris blends a busy downtown, homes near the Illinois River and the I&M Canal, and wide stretches of corn and soybean ground. We help you keep a grain operation moving with in-bin drying, elevator legs and unload systems, and we stock the plasma cutters, torches and filler rods your shop uses daily. When the weather turns, we can install a fireplace or set you up with a wood, gas, corn or pellet stove that fits your home.
Our Service
Grain Systems, Shop Gear and Home Heating
Running a grain operation means planning capacity before the combine rolls, not after the bins overflow. Midwest Agri-Com supplies and services grain handling and drying equipment, from stirring machines and bin stairs to complete unload systems, along with design, installation and repair. Our welding counter covers wire, electrodes, plasma cutters and fuel kits, and we sell and service welding machines for farm shops and fabricators. For the house, we install fireplaces with brick, masonry or cultured stone surrounds and wood mantels, and we sell wood and pellet stoves built from cast iron, steel or soapstone. Each project includes a sales consultation, and we offer installation and inspection so the equipment runs safely. You deal with the same people from the first question to the final walkthrough.

How do I plan grain dryer capacity for a larger corn harvest?
Estimate your daily harvest rate in bushels, then compare it with how many points of moisture you typically remove. A dryer that keeps pace with your combine prevents wet grain from piling up. Also consider bin space and unload speed. We can review your acres and current setup and recommend in-bin drying or handling upgrades.
Do I need a chimney liner when installing a wood stove insert?
For most farm and shop work on steel up to about half an inch, a mid-range plasma cutter handles the job comfortably. Thicker plate calls for higher amperage and a larger air supply. Consider your power source and duty cycle too. Bring a sample of the steel you cut most, and we will match a cutter to it.
