Odell households and farms rely on us for grain systems, shop supplies and hearth installs, all starting with a free in-store estimate and honest advice.

Sales and Services

Serving the Odell Area

Odell carries the feel of classic Route 66, a small Livingston County town surrounded by flat, productive cropland and families who value things that last. That outlook fits how we work. Midwest Agri-Com is a family business that has sold and serviced equipment since 1975. Out on Route 71, the Ottawa showroom gives you room to see the products before you buy. Come compare grain unload systems and elevator legs, look over welding torches and plasma cutters, or stand next to a soapstone stove to feel how it holds heat. We keep the conversation practical, give you a free in-store estimate and explain each option so you can decide with confidence.

Our Service

Complete Equipment and Hearth Services

Our grain handling work is designed around your bin layout and harvest pace. It can include a new leg, a stirring machine for in-bin drying, unload augers and stairs that make every trip up the bin safer. For welders, we sell and service equipment and stock the consumables that keep jobs moving, including torches, welding wire, fuel kits, electrodes, handles and filler rods. Homeowners can browse hearths built with cultured stone, brick or a wood mantel, along with the tools and accessories that complete them. Our stove lineup covers wood and corn burners as well as pellet and gas units, in steel, soapstone or cast iron. Beyond sales, you get design, installation, construction, inspection, repair, maintenance and restoration. Having all five services together means less running around for you and one team accountable for the result.

Does my wood stove need a stainless steel chimney liner?

A stainless liner sized to your stove outlet usually gives better draft and a safer flue than bare clay tile or old brick. Plenty of Odell area chimneys predate today's tighter, more efficient stoves. The liner also shields masonry from moisture and creosote. Cracked tiles, an oversized flue or no liner at all are signs to schedule an inspection before installing anything.

How do I choose the right elevator leg capacity for my farm?

Gas stoves light with a switch, need little cleanup and work well where a gas line is already available. Pellet stoves burn compressed wood fuel, need bagged pellets stored nearby and require routine ash cleaning, but they work without a gas hookup. Your fuel access, budget and tolerance for chores usually decide the better option.
