Equipment That Fits Plano Living
Plano homes and farms need equipment that handles both sides of Kendall County life. Fields still stretch out from town while newer neighborhoods fill in along US-34, so one household might want a pellet stove for the family room while the farm down the road needs a dependable dryer before harvest. Midwest Agri-Com has served customers since 1975 from our Ottawa showroom on Route 71, a straightforward drive southwest of you. We help you sort out welding supplies, welding equipment sales and service, grain handling and drying, fireplace sales and installation, and wood and pellet stoves without a sales pitch you don't need. Bring your questions, your measurements or a photo of your setup, and you will leave with options that match how you actually use your property.
Our Service
Welding, Grain and Hearth Under One Roof
Kendall County shops need welding supplies on the shelf the day a gate hinge snaps or a loader bucket cracks. Torches, plasma cutters, welding wire, electrodes, filler rods, handles and fuel kits are all in stock, and our service department repairs the welders you depend on. For your grain operation, we supply in-bin drying, unload systems, elevator legs, stirring machines and bin stairs, backed by design, installation and repair work. Inside the house, choose wood mantels, cultured stone, brick and masonry fireplace designs, then finish the hearth with tools and accessories. Our stove selection covers wood, gas, corn and pellet models built from cast iron, steel or soapstone. Many Plano families split time between acreage and town, so we keep every conversation focused on the job in front of you, from the first sales consultation through installation and inspection.

your questions answered

How do I size a pellet or wood stove for my home?
Measure the rooms the stove needs to warm and note how they connect, since heat travels poorly through closed doors and long hallways. Older Kendall County farmhouses with high ceilings and thin walls lose heat faster than newer, well-sealed homes. Oversizing makes a room uncomfortable and burns fuel poorly, while undersizing leaves you cold in January. Bring a rough floor plan and we will match the output to your house.
How often should I run aeration fans on stored grain?
Stick welding handles rusty, painted or dirty steel outdoors and works well in the wind, which makes it a strong choice for field repairs. MIG welding is faster and cleaner on prepared metal inside the shop. Many farms keep both. Tell us what you fix most often and we can recommend a machine and consumables.
Is MIG or stick welding better for repairs around the farm?
