Farm Country Support Near the Canal
Wyanet farms need bins and handling systems that load, dry and unload without a hitch during the busiest weeks of fall. Set among the Bureau County fields near the old Hennepin Canal, your community runs on corn and soybeans, and every hour lost to a broken auger or slow dryer costs you. Since 1975, the people at Midwest Agri-Com have helped farm families keep equipment running. Our Ottawa showroom sits east of you, an easy drive on I-80. Expect bin and dryer work, welding consumables plus machine sales and repair for the farm shop, and fireplaces, wood stoves and pellet stoves for the farmhouse. You get one team that understands the whole property, from the bin site to the living room.
Our Service
Grain Systems, Shop Gear and Home Heat
Small farm towns need a supplier who can cover the bin site, the shop and the house without sending you three places. Our grain work includes unload systems, elevator legs, in-bin drying, stirring machines and bin stairs, plus design, installation, construction and repair. We also handle maintenance so problems get caught before harvest. For fabrication and repair, choose from plasma cutters, torches, fuel kits, handles, filler rods, electrodes and welding wire, and count on us for machine sales and service. At home, we install fireplaces finished in cultured stone, brick, masonry or a wood mantel, and we offer stoves in soapstone, cast iron and steel that burn corn, pellets, wood or gas. Older farmhouses in particular benefit from an inspection and a properly sized stove that heats evenly.

your questions answered
Find answers about our products and services.
Why should I add bin stairs instead of using the ladder?
Bin stairs give you a safer, more comfortable climb for routine checks, especially when carrying tools or sampling grain. Ladders get slick in rain, frost and dust, and falls are a real risk on farms. Stairs also make it easier to inspect bins more often, which helps you catch storage problems sooner. We design layouts for single or multiple bins.
What happens to my pellet stove when the power goes out?
Fast-freeze electrodes like 6011 dig through rust, paint and dirt better than most, which makes them handy for field repairs. Low-hydrogen 7018 rods produce stronger, smoother welds on cleaner metal and are often used for structural work. Keeping both on hand covers most farm jobs. We can help you pick sizes for your machine.
